The concept of a production hall for industrial door components consists of a flexible concrete area free of columns as far as possible that is folded up along two sides to form a concrete parapet.

On a 15.0 x 15.0 metre grid the folded roof wings rise to form a “north-light roof” envelope resting on longitudinal steel trusses and transverse trussed steel beams.
The façade as a kind of “band” of trapezoid metal sheeting encloses the machinery and plant as well as the intermediate storage facilities. Generously dimensioned bands of glazing reveal the structural members referred to above and generate transparency and a large, light-flooded space.
Within this system the hall can be extended both in plan and section, in two directions.
