In the design process, element structure and spatial structure emerge from their respective opposites into tangible, highly condensed continuities in the sense of a structured indifference, an aggregated state of in-between.

The property is located in a very specific topographical situation. The strata lines rotate by approx. 90°, and the fall lines of the plot area also make a 90° turn. The intersection of the fall lines becomes a defining characteristic of the design. The plot is “cut open” along both lines.

Line 1 cuts into the slope at the lowest level, line 2 one level above. The two slope surfaces are created at right angles to each other; line 1 corresponds to the direction of view towards the fortress. The visual, abstract organization of the project therefore runs parallel to it. Line 2, on the other hand, is concrete, connecting levels.

A system of ramps and stairs develops from this, connecting all levels of the site and the building.

A house for an art collector couple, spacious living and working, room for guests and parties. A continuous spatial continuum develops over seven levels. All levels are accessible by elevator. The entrance and guest level can be reached from the driveway and garage level via the sauna and basement level. From here, you are guided through two multi-storey, staggered room volumes via the library and work level and the bedroom level to the living level. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress.
