A "landmark" is to be erected quasi in the center of the area in order to give the structure a certain urban hierarchy or legibility in interaction with the self-similar building complexes. Our project responds to these demands in several ways. First of all, the extension of the object extends to the permissible building edges in order to be compatible with the large-scale structures all around with its mass or to meet the claim of a "landmark".

The "tower" would be suitable as a sign for a square in front of it. However, we do not see a square-like structure along the street lines and in competition with the traffic circle in front of it. Rather, the gesture of raising floor levels is similarly accompanied by the opening of the edge of the block, which thus creates a generous entrance situation into the interior of the block.

Inside, we create an OASIS in the midst of the hectic hustle and bustle - a hustle that is definitely dominated by traffic - all around. A round inner courtyard becomes the kept free center, a space with stay qualities in a multilayered way.

The courtyard becomes the local center, the plaza, the setting for various activities and events.

Therefore, we consider and call this courtyard FORUM in its address-forming peculiarity.
It is a space for people, a car-free, friendly space with a good microclimate (water, greenery, shade), suitable for pub gardens, Christmas market, wine festival, Oktoberfest, flea market, food trucks and the like.

The design of the building mass responds to this forum accordingly. A view of the forum is possible from every floor, and some of the levels step back like an arena, suggesting a kind of "amphitheater" around the "stage in the center. Admittedly, the steps of the "amphitheater" are not seating steps in the conventional sense, but terraced, landscaped open spaces that allow access to this stage from every floor

in different formations. One can actually imagine around this courtyard a terraced landscape densely filled with people participating in the events in the center. Beyond the orientation of the volumetry towards the forum, the differentiated design of the block typology provides even further answers to requirements of the building site.

The generously landscaped terraces create a high quality for the working environment in addition to the view of the Forum from the first to the fifth floor. From the 5th floor onwards, the view inwards is further extended with far-reaching views of the surrounding area.
